London has a number of fabulous shopping centres - they can be the perfect answer to your Chrsitmas shopping on a cold winter's day or a blessing during the heat of summer. Check them out. 1. Westfield Shepherds Bush, Ariel Way, White CityWestfield houses over 300 stores including department stores and big names like Apple and Gucci with a Vue cinema inside too. Head to The Village for luxury designer brands and the Southern Terrace for dinner al fresco when you've finished. More info:http://uk.westfield.com/london 2. Westfield Stratford City, Newham, E15 1AZGearing up for the 2012 Olympics "Eastfield" only recently opened its doors to East London (with the Olympic Stadium nearby). Here you'll find the same winning combination of 50 restaurant and cafe choices and hundreds of high street shops including Nike, Waitrose and Topshop. More info: http://uk.westfield.com/stratfordcity 3. One New Change, St Pauls EC4M 9AFAt just over a year old, One New Change next to St Pauls Cathedral benefits from being almost deathly quiet on the weekends meaning you can have some of the smaller shops all to yourself. It's an interesting modern building in itself with a courtyard style open air roof in the middle. More info: http://www.onenewchange.com/ 4. London Trocadero, Shaftesbury AvenueThis entertainment and shopping centre offers up a HMV music store, British gifts at Crest of London and fashion at Accessorize. It's smack bang in the middle of Leicester Square too for easy access to nearby Covent Garden and Oxford Street. More info: http://www.londontrocadero.com/ Where else can I shop?Notable mentions for shopping destinations further out of London include Chiswick, Richmond, Hampstead and Sloane Square/ the King's Road in Chelsea. However, if you only have a week or so in the capital the main shopping areas of Oxford Street, Soho, Bloomsbury, Shoreditch and Marylebone should satisfy your gifts and souvenir needs.
